The dragons den

The dragons den

A Poem by kevluvtory
"

fantasy or fiction dragons are real?

"
Who would go forth into the dragons den?
when women were damsels
and men were men

With diamond ignition of sulfurous rock,
these beasts of the past could sure run amok,
The men that opposed them were pure of heart,
Not quite yet angelic, but good was a start.

For the triumphant survivor! a much better life,
with the damsel now saved
he could take of a wife

To enter the lair of a foe oh so foul,
many at the door would throw in the towel,
For those with the courage but not yet the heart
the dragon would devour, after tearing apart!.

Could they yet still exist as they once did before?
when women were damsels
or was it just metaphor?
