I lost her

If only I could gaze upon your eyes to see the soul lying therein twould keep my spirit from faltering as another cold and bleak day begin. Alas those days are past we may never meet again so I will sit here old downcast and revel in my pain. The days no longer than they were before you went away yet colder still the nights appear as my hair is turning grey, bones a weary creaking muscles tighten and shake  praying as the darkness falls next morning not to wake.

You were the reason for awakening to make the days a pleasure how much reliance on your steadfast love I really could not measure, yet measure now I have the time whilst crawling up the wall every second of every hour and day twas you who filled them all. BUT I know I can not wallow in the ifs and buts and why I must turn my life around once more or at least give it a good try.

I shall never forget you darling the smile upon your face or the laughter lines around your eyes with my fingers I would trace one day perhaps be there such a thing we will meet again above where once more I can express myself to the one true woman I love.
