ConsequencesA Poem by Kevin MattingleyI welcome any feedback!
Consequences Sometimes Astounding actions are subtle The simplest gestures, acts or words Hiding in the shadows, unobserved Between the passing seconds Within the very shadow of time Somewhere A stumbling noise in the static Glittering into and out of focus Within the chaos of the unrelated Is there some mysterious synchronicity Where the fulcrum yields some meaning? Somehow The impulse does its duty Close to the threshold Truths totality For there are no psychological excuses For truth itself Always reduces To a single word Choice Sometimes Consequences are realised July 2008 © Kevin Mattingley © 2009 Kevin MattingleyFeatured Review
