Most People...

Most People...

A Poem by Reflexion

Most people

Don’t know what they already have

So

They discard it through vanity

Then they “Act” really sad

Most people

Work hard to fit in

So

They reap what they’ve sewn

When

Nobody notices them

Most people

Love going places they’ve been many times before

So

They can predict what will happen

And

Experience it once more

Most people

Think this book is a crazy idea

So

They will say it when you are not there

But

Never when they see ya

Most people

Have not changed their perspective enough to consider

That

The whole purpose of judgment

Is

To sweeten what is bitter

Inside of themselves

Most people

Are not curious enough to wander

So

They sit and they gossip

Meanwhile

It’s your life they discuss and ponder

Most people

Are critics instead of creators

So

They talk about “doing”

But then

Put it off until “later”

The problem with “Most People”

Is that

They are completely wrong

They focus on you

In their efforts to

Make themselves strong

At one point

They stood and cheered

Because “Most People”

Did the same

But suddenly you’re alone

And now “Most People”

Champion innuendo

When they say your name

REMEMBER:

It is only because

You have the courage

To

Take a chance

And

You are comfortable enough

To be wrong

So

Inspire “Most People”

As they struggle

To become strong

Truth is written within this poem. I have fallen into the category of 'Most People' too many times to count. I love that you took the stand and voiced this concern within our society. Excellent!
