I Am

I Am

A Poem by Reflexion

I am part of the sky;

My mind was created by

The sea

Flesh and bone borrowed from

The earth

Words and thoughts siblings of

The wind

I am the stream;

Leading into deeper, stronger

Currents

Becoming one with the

Past, present, and future

Touching distant lands,

Distant minds

Time and space can not contain

My power

I am the heavens;

Vast and endless,

Beautiful and mysterious

Just open your mind

And see

Look to your side or

To the front or

Behind and

All that you see can

Be thus defined

it could be a Darwinistic approach to poetic reasoning, OR , just the observations of a poetic person
who enjoys the wonders of the creator. Whatever, "I am" is the most individual idea that
any man or woman can come to grips with. It is also the fundamental divisions of psychoanalytic
theory that is the source of all psychic energy....(ID)

In a certain way, writing poetry is a function of touching and naming far more than one of
hearing and responding. I love the broader notion of this poem far more than the fundamental
notion of it.

nicely written....dana
