immortality

A Poem by kevincarib3

The day ruled cool and crisp
As it came to me like a conscience
My temperature climbed well above the normal
And sweat poured through every inch of my body
My blisters bled freely through torn socks
And tears welcomed this moment absurdity
Death came and laughed
But jolted off in another direction
Unable to suppress his own laughter
I heard the flopping wings of crows
They hurriedly descended upon my feet
I gaped at them and yanked my feet away.
