TimeA Poem by kevincarib3
Time crept like a little child's feet
He sat looking over His shoulder As he fixed himself a seat He rested for he was tired Had always long desired That his breath would mute the night So he would not have to fetch light For the impatient day He saw many mornings die And oh how the cunning nights try to plead with him for them to stay But he turned away Making way For the simpering day Night and day search for portals And even seasons searched for portals As death searched for mortals trying desperately to transcend But they did not comprehend That time is inevitable Time understood that beauty is momentary And the limitless possibilities of his immortality The designs of nature's symmetry And his exodus an eternity
