Parental LoveA Poem by Tabitha DingsThis is what a boy's daddy is for
Wrestling on the living room floor Taking him on four wheelers Teaching him how to fish Telling him "Good job in class" Teaching his son how to tie his tie Teaching him how to treat a woman Showing him it's not "okay" to fight Telling him to walk it off. Giving him his first bike
This is what a boy's mommy is for
Kissing his "boo boos" Acting as a pillow in long car rides Tucking him in at night Showing him how to take care of a pet Teaching him to help out around the house Teaching him how to treat a woman Letting him make a mess Cleaning up that mess Giving him his first Valentine's
This is what a boy's parents are for
Teaching him to be a man Giving him morals to live life Showing him that family comes first Letting him see that parents can be fun too Demonstrating parental love Letting him see beauty in life Showing him that God loves him Letting him make his first decisions Stepping aside when he becomes an adult
