Weddingless

Weddingless

A Poem by Tabitha Dings

A white dress

I never wore

A toast of champaigne

Never rang

Organ tunes

We never heard

heralding our love

Nor writ vows

But there's this

We did have love

We did announce it

Before God

Repeated

The vows well known

But is it lessened?

I say "No!"

Though our guests

only a judge,

ourselves, and a clerk

We married

Before God

Forever bound

Precious that link is

Beautiful

Just goes to prove that poetry like love should live by the rules and whims of those it entwines. I like it it was a way of thumbing your nose at those who would judge what they have no right to. Good job
