Another Fear

Another Fear

A Poem by Miss Kerri
"

A 12th grade English assignment.

"
There I was on the balcony,
Dreaming through the sea of birds,
The sunset's shadows casting over the pillars,
As I hold them fearfully, lifelessly.
The hum of their howls,
The pulse of their steps,
Set my memories right before my eyes.
The land of coyotes lay beneath my feet,
Preaching their destiny,
Prowling, determining my fate.
The white paint of the balcony begins to chip,
Sending a light snowfall throughout the land.
The ground begins to move beyond my means,
And there I was,
One with the rising blizzard,
Suffocated by the land.
