that girl.

that girl.

A Poem by kerr

Who is she?
Does anyone really know
who she is or what she wants?
Is she feeling high or low?

She’s that girl.

There she is
We watch her every single day
She is so unique
And does everything in her own way

She’s that girl.

It’s too bad that no one sees
How hurt she is inside
And how many days she wants to cry
And how many times she has lied.

She’s that girl.

She says she is okay
But really she is dying
She is isn’t okay; she hates herself
And she is getting sick of lying

She’s that girl.

The mask on her face is feeling heavy
It’s imaginary but full of guilt and lies
She wants to peel it off
But what will her peers think of her insides.

She’s that girl.

Finally she takes the leap
And happily lets us see
Who she is and what she’s like
And now she is proud to say this is me.

“I’m that girl.”

A very good poem of what so many go through. Always putting on the mask and not letting others see our true feelings. Then the sen of relief that people still accept you for who you are when they see the true you. Excellent use of words.
