Without me

Without me

A Poem by stacie

Life goes on…without me. People still mow their lawn, and laugh with their kids. They kiss their spouse and drive to work. They eat family dinners and maybe watch a movie. And they never know that right across the street someone is mourning. Alone in my head, but no one sees. How can this world go on without me?

Life still goes on...
Even without me.
People still mow their lawn,
And don't realize that I'm gone.
They kiss their spouses
Then drive to work.
And don't realize I'm hurt.
They eat family dinners
Maybe watch a movie.
They don't see me there mourning.
All alone in my head,
But no one sees.
How can this work continue without me?
