Pale Tree

Pale Tree

A Poem by Joshua Kepfer

Twisted, gnawed, broken

deprived tree

No more leaves disguising

its bleakness

No more leaves to feel

angled rain falling swiftly

Bark as pale as

the webs clinging to you

Are you alive or dead?

Asleep or awake to pain?

Creaking gently or about to fall?

Hello, Joshua! :)
I think the word "its" through me off. Are you speaking to the tree or me?

This is an actual tree, but it can represent you. :)
