my city

my city

A Poem by ♪The Girl Next Door♪
"

I don't have a lot to say about this. I just needed to write something.

"
scrape my shoes on this cement
sometimes snow falls here
I hoped today would stay clear
these buildings, tall like giants
seem so cold,
but if you listen long enough
they spin stories
there's a feeling here,
I love too much
so the snow will never stop me
from seeing the city I love
when I see these walls,
this is true art
and when I watch these people,
I can feel my heart
And every time I come back
I see so much more
so I cant help but feel that this
city was made
just for me.

my city, my lights, my people
the snow will never keep me from
your memory will melt away
with the rising sun.
