A random poem I wrote in school. I'm not quite sure what it means yet. Sometimes, for me, writing is kind of like dreaming. First you have the dream, then you try to figure it out after.
Waiting is hard to do when you can't sit still
Making a childish heart wait for the next thrill
Maybe I can fill that space
Maybe I can write that page
Maybe I can leave this place
Maybe- if not for the hinder in age.
Loving people for the sake of love is the hardest thing to do
While the world sees in bright yellows, all I see is deep blue.
But while gazing through the night's eyes
They led me to a somewhat astounding surprise.
Other night people, some the same as me.
But sadly, there is no place where I may simply be.

The rhyme and meter in this poem was flawless, I like how easily it read, just as smooth to speak as view. The first stanza's wistful tone set a good opening for the second. To me the overall poem speaks of unrequited romantic feelings, not wanting to wait for it, and how loneliness can still feel even lonelier when one is reminded that they aren't alone. There's no place to hide, to escape at least knowing love exists. My own take on it. Great work though, even if I'm wrong in my conclusions haha.

My name's Makenzie and I'm extremely insane. If I were a super hero my super hero name would either be Captain Procrastination or Sarcastimaster. P.S. also by the way, I'm a confessed crazy cat lady. .. more..
