Anthology for a Friend: PainfulA Poem by Kenzie MorgI'm creating an anthology of poems, and hopefully artwork, for my best friend's birthday. Some of these poems are questionable and first drafts. Probably all Free Verse style.
Death would be less painful
Than to see you go To drift apart slowly To have you remove all of your care for me I love you so painfully much That at the mention of another My heart aches My soul becomes weak for you Yet all I ever wanted Was for you to be happy Breathlessly and hopelessly The anxiety stirs To hear you rank me number two
