Little Bird

Little Bird

A Poem by K.M

I thought you'd be the one to set me free
But you put me in a cage with broken wings
And I was stupid enough to believe
That you knew where my happiness would be
But now
I know why the caged bird won't sing
Don't worry little bird, soon your bones will harden
You'll become weaker, and fall on the cage floor
This kind of thing cannot be pardoned...
Why'd you shut the rusted door?

Sometimes we feel like the little bird, caged with desires of freedom. Well written
