Through The GlassA Poem by macshe’s been broken and beaten but no one see’s the scars maybe they’re not on the skin but when she looks in the mirror they are she thought she had a heart but that was years ago now she’s just an empty shell with no where else to go when i look at her i see shades of the deepest blue don’t know how but i’m always surprised that so little light shines through because to everyone else the sun’s what they see a bright happy smile but it doesn’t fool me she wanders the city alone in the night each step is a battle each breath taken with all her might no one sees her fading or really even cares the lost girl, the broken dream isolated by their stares Through the glass i see those dead, soulless eyes abandoned by sun warmed only by their lies That deep blue drowns me pulls me to the floor and i can’t get up for help forget opening that black door I’ve forgotten how to ask or how to take a hand but now it’s just to late say goodbye to this godless land those who would help locked outside trapped in this hell i created, where i hide She lives in this room no windows, no light just one black door we’ve lost this fight me and her, we’re one doesn’t anyone see and now i think i’ll rot alone what a terrible end to this story but if someone finds this, and it’s not to late open that door, please help me escape my fate © 2013 macAuthor's Note
