When In RoamA Poem by Kenny NThis was a piece inspired by the sandy shores of the North Sea on the coasts of northern England. The brisk and salty winds brush across my face As my ears detect the waves in a fervent, tumbling race. Feel the sand beneath my feet, squishing and squashing I am walking toward the coastal rocks who get an ice-cold washing. The sun beats down with a brilliant, gleaming glare Letting my eyes wander out, I just pause and stare. I pluck the shells up, up and away, out of their sandy homes Into my pocket is where they go, for security as I roam. This is my home, for today and for now But I'll return again, some way and somehow. © 2014 Kenny NReviews
