Tinder Date

Tinder Date

A Story by Pete O'Connor

Gavin knocked back the end of his lager.

He felt emboldened.

“You don’t look much like your profile picture, Emma,” he ventured cockily, eyeing his date in the same manner a prosecuting lawyer might.

Emma’s rapacious chomping paused for a moment as she looked Gavin up and down.

“You don’t look much like a ‘City trader’,” she replied, before scanning the drinks menu nonchalantly.

“I think I’d like another glass of wine.”

Gavin sunk back into his chair surreptitiously eyeing the prices in fear.
