The First Dance

The First Dance

A Poem by Kendall Edison

Your touch leaves me weak

and I walk away in a trance

I open the heavy oaken doores of my mind

 And my eyelids flutter open

To the memories we shared

Dancing we swirl and turn

Then we rise and begin to fly over everything and everyone

Over her we fly and her heart follows

As we pass by we look into each other

Floating in time

As everything stands still

And we dance in the air

By ourselves no one can touh us

Will we ever land?

Maybe one day we will softly touch

Back to the earth and share what we have just felt

Or maybe we'll just dance among the stars

Forever.......

Beautiful! I can't believe no one reviewed this! It's absolutely spledid. None of that horrible modern dancing, yuck. Dancing among the stars, forever. How marvelous!
