A magical moment (Flight to a Fiance)A Poem by kenanstissA happy home comingA magical moment (Flight to a Fiancé) by Kenanstiss A lovers kiss, a fond embrace, how delicate the smile. A touch, a glance, a fond farewell, the distance many a mile, Love so strong it made us cry, the tears were in our eyes. Love letters that then floated back, across the crimson skies. I was not alone, yet I was …..for you were far away. A longing, and a sadness, much was the dismay. The day would soon befall me, and then it all must end. The giant bird stood gazing, the fear I could not pretend. I climbed inside its belly, this journey I must make. Its wings flew me to my country, the ground began to shake. Your long blond hair, your outstretched arms, too much for one to take How we did embrace that day…. never want to part. A moment that will stay with me, imbedded in my heart. © 2011 kenanstiss |
