Iam nearA Poem by kenanstissPoem about those left behind.I am near. Death is just, a step away, a mystery, a mist. It holds me, gently in the light, My essence turns your very sight, You know I am near, but cannot see. I feel your sadness, I feel your love, I have no body and I have no pain, I want to tell you, shed no tear, I want to tell you, that I am near. The light, the warmth, the honey glow, I see them, I feel them, but you cannot know. You are you, and I am me, You know I’m here, but cannot see. Those around you, feel me too, a whisper a shadow, I let them know, Don’t fear the shadows, that appear, You cannot see me, but I am here. I have touched you, whilst you have slept. And in your dreams, I have slowly crept. Silently, I kissed your lips. You know I am near, but cannot see. Time has no meaning anymore, It’s just a glimpse, of a bright new day. A robin sings, and a child’s prayer. You cannot see me, but I am there. I must leave you now, but we will meet again. On a bright summer morn, or a winter’s day, The day will come, when the mist will clear. And you will see me, when I am near. Ken Anstiss © 2011 All rights Reserved © 2011 kenanstissAuthor's Note
