Justice for the soul

Justice for the soul

Justice for the soul

(Words spoken to abused women)

I need to express how I feel

To women who just have to deal,

With abuse every day,

But they don’t have a say,

For Injustice is justice in the eyes of authority,

And this is the majority of victims these days….

Do they serve and protect?

Or do they neglect, those with tears

In their eyes, for the enemy is wise,

For she is shaken

And he is calm,

She is hysterical

And he has charm,

For he can persuade anyone, and get away with harm.

They have a gun, yet so does he.

He shoots her every day in the heart,

And yet they let it be…

He kills her from within,

And yet she sits in a prison,

Hoping release from death,

Anticipate livin….

What is wrong with the justice system nowadays?

When there are no rights for women,

So she worries each day.

A restraint is only issued if a knife is plunged,

And a soul is expunged,

And another life is wiped away….

When his fist, to him, is a lesson to

Be learned,

Yet she is shackled because the lesson is returned?

This is bullshit, open your eyes!

Sociopaths can get away with lies,

Words confess,

But his words for years pressed,

Against her air supply,

And she is choked from all his verbal abuse,

Yet to those in uniform this seems abstruse,

Because no marks have risen,

And therefore the evidence is given…

She is so angry she could jump off a bridge,

Please listen to her, so her life isn’t forsaken,

And help her before her ailments kill her,

And justice is a blur,

For dependency is synomonous with the life he gives her…

But he can take it away,

Through a hand or words,

So listen to her!

Please d****t, listen to her!!

And save her before it’s too late,

Because no woman wants to sit in a cell,

Treated guilty when she is the victim,

Confined in her own kind of hell.

Please women, lift your heads high,

Because no one should feel their life depends on a guy,

And obviously those who supposedly protect let women die,

Because this women is no good at a lie.

Just remember when this life is done,

those men will lay bleeding from a gun,

shot by their own decisions,

KARMA the weapon that was given.

They say more women dwell in heaven,

for your halo is bright,

And your future full of light!

God is there to help you through,

And believe these words,

For in the end you only have you.

Bruises will heal, and your independence is real,

For you have the power

To create a better world,

Erase the past and make it brand new,

For love and justice dwells INSIDE you….

I hear and feel your pain sis. On both angles. Police in Washington state are pure punks. Fake gangsters thats why I wasnt upset when that guy from New York ran up in that coffee shop and shot like 4 of them in broad day light. It almost felt like the people won something. Alot of the police in Washington are young punks straight out of the military with no moral value and a chip on their shoulder from something that probably happened in High school. I lived to in Tacoma for 10 years and hit I-5 with my neck on a swivel. I hate those niggaz man. I swear I do. I had one cop pull me over take my license and said to me.. "You dont have any priors.. i'm surprised." So I feel you on that.

The subliminal abuse from men... that can go both ways. I know Washington is one of the toughest states on Domestic Violence in the entire country. So you better not even look at a woman crossed there.. But there is abuse a man can do to you and vice versa. Women have their charms and so do guys. The object is to identify what you can about that person as quickly as possible so you know what you are dealing with to avoid heartache and confrontation. Its not full proof but I think you can figure somebody out pretty quickly based on what they seem to be interested in.

Either way its a great blend of subjects in one piece and you are absolutely talented for being about to do it. Mixing emotion, virtue and logic in a sweet blend.

I wish I would have reached out to you and saw one of your shows. I'm sure it would have been crazy to see you do your thing. Peace Queen of Naphtali.

Very relevant and true, indeed. I watched many documentaries on ID about this subject. Authorities turn a blind eye until all is too late. This would make for an amazing spoken word piece. Your writing has always had such power within your words. Great piece.

I am cynical about the honesty and integrity of cops and our justice system so I applaud you for this eye opening write. I have heard quite some horror stories when it comes to those who are supposed to serve and protect end up hurting the victims worse.

'Please d****t, listen to her!!'

I remember way back when you wrote alternately about 'birds and the bees' then a piece so powerful and different that your friends and reviewers never knew what you were going to do next. Seems now you're striking out with words that need to be said, must be said. Brilliant.
Kena, every word of this strikes a chord with me, there are such different ways in which a woman can be hurt, whether physical, mental or both.. and, more often or not they remain, dyed through every layer of skin to the very core.
Could say more, won't but will congratulate you in writing so beautifully and sincerely about life for millions of women throughout our world. And yes, they should and must try, try, try to speak out.
