Mind Penetration

Mind Penetration

A Poem by Kena Dawn Augustine

Mind Penetration

You're intellectual,
we conversate.
I let your words penetrate...
my psyche,
wound up like your cornrows,
sweet as your lips.

I'm not afraid of heights so I hang on each word,
waiting to be heard,
among all the noise outside
that threatens to kill the silence of our longing.

Because we belong to a higher good,
interwoven by the fabrication of truth...
stitched together with a connection that warms the
cold of those frigid beings around us....

Mind penetration,
I let your hands dance on my skin
in remembrance of this simple equation
that we are one, and nothing can
take away our balance, our synergy,
our energy. Or tear away what
we possess,
so let me profess,
that your language,
although foreign to the
culture of ignorance,
I can decipher.

Let us create our own world,
where you are the King, and I am the Queen.
And together we reign our love,
steadfast and true,
a bond so secure,
that no simple being
can break through......

Not about anyone in particular. Just some thoughts I had to express. I haven't had any interesting things happen in my life (or intense relationships, which usually spur my creative mind.)
