Upon My Wedding Day

Upon My Wedding Day

A Poem by ken burke

The crystal blue ocean quietly sings me a wedding gift

while the majestic waves gently shift

the sun beautifully meets the skyline

making this fragrant garden brightly shine

the piano slowly plays your cue

while I stand here waiting to say I do

I see you walking down the aisle in your wedding gown

while heaven's light shines directly down

I wonder is this all a dream

cause before you, my heart was falling apart at the seams

you step up, enclosing your hand in mine

I feel our love tightly entwine.

Upon this day we become one,

our fate is something we will never outrun

god made you for me and me for you

he knew that we could face this world, just us two.

I take your hand and I am ready for this blessed life

…....today is the day I make you my wife
