Un-caring EyesA Story by Kacie Delane Davisa flash fiction I wrote at 1 amShe laughed a dry, humorless laugh. “I tried to warn you.
Didn’t I? Didn’t I try!?! Answer me!!” She screamed Silence. “Answer me! Why won’t you say
something! Stop looking at me like that! Please…! Please…!” she sobbed. “I
can’t bare that look in your eyes.” She pointed the bloody knife as she
spoke. “Don’t be angry with me! It’s not my fault!” She held the knife over her
wrist. Nothing only two judging eyes staring back at her. “You think I won’t!!” A gasp passed
her lips as the blood flowed out. She held the knife at her throat. “Say you
love me one last time…..please….” Nothing. “Fine!” She drew the blade across
her throat. The blood poured out of her rapidly . She dropped to her knees and
gazed into those cruel, un-caring eyes. The sound of her gurgling blood drowned
out her many pleas for forgiveness. There she died before the glazed
over eyes of her now dead, once precious lover. © 2013 Kacie Delane DavisAuthor's Note
