Breaking The Chain

Lost in emotions, no place to turn

Hoping my strength, these cravings will burn

Distracting myself with electrical haze

Must at least try, must get through this phase

Shivering, shaking, the sweats are now here

Spiders and faces arrive, bringing fear

Clutching my stomach, trying to refrain

Just starting to lose the link from the chain

Must not surrender to the sins of my want

Won't let my thirst start to weigh down and haunt

Screaming at four walls, bearing my soul

Nothing can stop me from reaching my goal

Weeks full of torture, and still I stand strong

beginning to rewrite my own future song

Slowly extracting the blade of the knife

Fear darkness will always be part of my life
