Smile

Smile

A Poem by Kelz

SMILE

Waking up, reliving the same s**t, day in, day out

Groundhog day's upon us, just want to scream and shout

Suspicous minds surround him, trust our neighbour.....NOT!

His mother taught him empathy, for now he has forgot

Growling, sighing, mind's gone blank

Engulfed by a crowd he would not thank

Then from nowhere, she towered above

Eyes asmiling, a heart with love

A coffee in a polystyrine cup

She gave to him, to warm him up

She shook his hand, and gave a smile

An encounter that will last a while

He realised then, it takes one soul

To touch another, to make them whole

He stood up from his grey slate floor

The beggar leaves an empty door

It can take the simplest gesture to brighten ones day... if we all did one twice a day the earth would look like the sun and every heart would be warm. I love this, very inspiring.
