Bright Eyes, Dead Eyes

Bright Eyes, Dead Eyes

A Chapter by Kelsey Rae

Tilly

Blue, Green, Brown, Hazel,
Every color in-between.

Black, White, Brown, Olive,
It doesn't matter.

The eyes can show you
Everything or Nothing.

Around the room,
tired, sad, happy, angry.

The eyes say what's on
the inside, deep down.

The greenest eyes with the
deadest light look at me.

Saige, the prettiest girl,
anybody has ever seen.

Happy on the outside,
dead on the inside.

Nobody notices but me,
maybe nobody cares.

But I see with my dead eyes,
the cracks in her mask.
