Boy on Train

Boy on Train

A Poem by kelsey <3

Boy on Train

Sitting there in your raggedy, white tee

So near yet seems miles far

I'm stranded on this island

This seat is your ship

This aisle our infinite sea

Boy on train,

I want to yell for your rescue

Afraid you may not hear

For lost I don't want,

Unless lost in be in your eyes.

This is beautiful, the feeling is so genuine and the subject matter...I can relate. This kind of reminded me of the song Savior by Rise Against...sort of the same lost feeling of wanting to save someone "before there's nothing left to save," as the song says. The title caught my attention too, I love its bluntness, it is not pretentious and fake but rather very simple, just telling what the poem is about, and I like this. My favourite line is "this aisle our infinite sea". Very beautiful work!
