My Lofty CedarA Poem by KelseyInspired by Ezekiel 17.
I fly through the wilderness…where do I turn?
Many trees I have passed, but all brittle and dead. My wings are too weary, I need somewhere to rest. The ground is so near, on what do I depend? The heat, my eyes, but, no…could it be? A Cedar stands tall, shines, reaches to me! High on a mountain, the lofty top reaches the sky, Strong branches stretch out, bearing fruit. In this noble Cedar, birds of every sort nest. Now I take refuge in this foundation of stone. He has saved me from death, I am not alone! © 2011 Kelsey |
