Ominous Night

Ominous Night

A Poem by Kelsey
"

I wrote this when I was 12, in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep.

"
Cold night takes hold of me
His bright eyes full of glee.
Now I yearn to flee,
But it’s controlling me.
Shall I be ever free?

The sunny day has passed.
Cold hands now hold me fast.
The binding nets are cast...
But day has broke at last!
I shall be ever free!

Some sun creeps o’er the hills,
The lightless night he’ll kill.
And now to all who will,
Their hopeful wish fulfills!
I am now ever free!
