As The World Falls Down

As The World Falls Down

A Poem by Kelsey B.

The sky crumbles

Mountains twist into a molten mass of

Despair

My heart sinks in my soul

But still I’m all

Alone

Why didn’t you come?

You promised you’d be here

As the world falls down

Until the end of time

The ground slips

Oceans groan in mindless frozen

Sorrow

I am lost irretrievably in the black

Is my universe not

Broken

Enough for you?

You promised you’d be here

As the world falls down

Until the end of time
