IF HE DIDN'T LOVE ME
by Kelsey Desmond

If he didn't love me I don't know what I would do.

Once he didn't love me, then there was you.

After a while, he soon saw,

How you loved me so. And that was all,

It took to know how jealous he was.

What am I supposed to do, when torn between two loves.

When more than life keeps on going.

When love is something you can't penetrate,

And happiness is not just something else,

What am I supposed to do?

If I loved him, he would be sweet.

He'd hold me at night, and sing me to sleep.

He'd then kneel on one knee and take out a ring.

And pop the question like it was nothing.

If I loved you, it would be fun.

We'd play games all night, and care to no one,

But ourselves and each other,

Because our couple: there is no other.

And if he didn't love me, I wouldn't have you.

But whose to say our love is true?

If I didn't have love, I wouldn't be myself,

So I must love him, and to one else.

Don't get me wrong, I want to love you.

I just can't take the drama when we fight and argue.

So, although I know that your love is now true,

If he didn't love me, I wouldn't have you.

you are so cute. This poem reminds me of a Victorian loveletter penned in beautiful calligraphic note
in words of days of yore- the thou and hither and the now of Dr. Seuss, speaking in silly rhyme and backwards meanings facing forward to find (you) be sent to the other, the lover forever.

I like it very much.

I thought this fascinating, it is hard.
A jealous person, unbearable :/ Both seem somewhat interesting though.
I liked the way you did this too.
Full of twists and tangles.
Absolutely loved it!
