The feeling when true love heals you

After every book I have written
Being saved by someone is nothing I thought would happen to a small city girl like me
But when you see me
It is no predator looking at the prey
You see the threads that people have teared
The bridges they have burnt and the scars that have yet to fade
You see the melody that wants be sung and you dare me to yell
The words that I am so scared to admit
The promises they broke years ago
But the redemption does not come easy
If I want the scars to heal
Then I must be ready to accept
The lord has shown me a giving hand

Hi there,
First one to review and first poem I have read of yours..
Basically one must be open to let go so the scars will heal..Forgiving is a huge part of all that...
Not sure this would be considered a poem?? But who am I to know..Enjoyed the read. True love really helps heal a person.
One quick comment and again I could be wrong..But shouldn't the word in your last line be shown not showed?? Hope you do not take this as a criticism...I am just wondering.
