A Fantasy Dream

A Fantasy Dream

A Poem by Kelsey Mclaren

If fantasy worlds weren’t just a vague dream in our head, I’d like to think that I was off to somewhere else where trees grew higher than the sky and the birds chirped in wonderful continuous harmony.

In a gown dark like the night sky, bathed in silver glitter and feathers I’d lie down on an endless field of evergreen flowers.

Entangled in the present and for once, deeply in love, I’d sigh and never question if there was any other world.

love the imagery of your words, nicely written

That is a world that calls and beckons, and where it not real, an enviable place and state of being. Much enjoyed this and relished the imagery which are so impactful in their contrasts and boldness. Thank you for sharing this poem. Frederick
