Do you believe in a soulmate?

Do you believe in a soulmate?

A Poem by Kelsey Mclaren

I've known you for what feels like an entire lifetime and maybe that's not weird since we've been childhood friends for what feels like forever. Though the mountain goes much deeper than that, as if what I'm speaking about isn't our lifetime but the last or even the one before that. So much that I cannot explain but the feeling is overwhelming. You are inwoven in my very veins, as natural as salt in the sea. It feels as real like waking up and seeing a blue sky outside my window - I can't touch it but it's so visible. This is nothing that I can explain and luckily enough it's nothing that I particularly question. For once it feels safe not knowing. If I can spend an enternity in your arms then there's no meaning in questioning and I've done a lot of it but I've finally arrived at the safe haven that I've wandered aimlessly for. I could never even begin to imagine that there could be someone waiting for me on the other side. That once when light would engulf me, you'd be the pair of arms I'd run into. And that? That is nothing even scientist can explain. We always do but this once, no one can. You and I just are.
