Goodbye, farewell.

Goodbye, farewell.

A Poem by Kelsey Mclaren

Goodbye.

The saddest word to mankind.

When you’re standing at a crossroad staring into the eyes you love the most and having to meet a decision where the outcome will break you.

Stories build up into beautiful roses only to slowly falter and let the petals follow the wind.

A goodbye is a rumbling storm,

like lightning to the heart, striking your happiness and safety.

Why do endings no matter how pretty and good they are, hurt?

Nothing can stay the same, for everything need to change,

but you didn’t want that.

You just wanted to keep all the happiness into one spot,

into one jar and hold onto it forever.

Couldn’t you just be the way you are now..?

Why did life have to rob us of everything we loved the most.

Don’t close that door, for many hellos go unheard and locked out.
