Forever and a day

Forever and a day

A Poem by Kelsey Mclaren
"

Falling in love quickly.

"

Faded glass hazy, like my vision those three nights.

Crying because of my drowning heart leaking out.

With a needle the air had run out,

making me chase oxygen another five nights.

My feet numb, walks growing wide,

love injected me through a smile that night.

And in the morning it was bedded into my mind,

the picture of him; forever in my life.

Repainted all the shades of blue turning them purple,

cut me up like paper and burning the pain to pieces.

And ashes as they flew away, out of mind,

out of frame. Igniting my heart,

washed my sins away, saved a girl who thought she couldn’t be saved.

And on the seventh night she was sure,

moonlight on her face as her gaze wandered away,

away to his eyes whispering under her breath:

I’ll love you till forever and a day.
