Serendipity

Serendipity

A Poem by Kelsey Mclaren
"

Finding your soulmate unexpectedly when you're at your lowest.

"

I saw how we were stars,

crashing into the water like when two waves collide,

It hit me that time when we swam through the warm ocean.
I laid down on the ground and thanked the heavens above for leading me to the shore,

that we were blessed with the feel and the white grains of sand.
I was there, how wonderful it was, but far more than that.
In your arms, in your voice,

your hands that held me tighter than fear.
As if he was sent down from the sky to save my fallen desperate heart,

in need of touch and love.

Through the hell I’ve been through; once I again I’d go,

because for you I’d wait in the darkest.

The snow covering my heart and the ice digging deep down.

When you came the sun started to shine through the forest

and drop by drop the ice melted.

I give in to you, I surrender because you make my heart go to a downfall and I lose all intention of keeping on,

my heart pounding and everytime you dare

to come closer you take my pulse up to the mountains like some rollercoaster.
This is defeating me,

in a loving way I’ve never felt.
I thought I couldn’t be saved until you came.
