The Heart Knows

The Heart Knows

A Poem by Lover Of Words

The feeling of the heat of a touch
The connection by the gaze of your eyes
A thing as simple as a smile
Or just the sound of a laugh
That sounds like the beauty of a dove
Your heart knows
When at night your mind continuously plays the note of love
When your eyes sparkle with joy
No matter what you do
The heart knows
When the sound of their voice
Lifts you off the ground
But yet it leaves you speechless
Your heart knows
What it is that you need
Given one day
There is that one
That makes the wind spin
For the touch of love
The heart knows

A beautiful and hopeful poem. The heart does know. Good to find the places where we know we support to be. The description led the reader to the positive ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
