Loneliness Within

When that feeling of loneliness sets in 

Bring all hope to an end 

A feeling so deep even i have not felt 

The dark road sets in 

Fighting my way back 

Or do i even want to come back 

Lost my soul somewhere within the night 

A fight not worth fighting 

Hoping someone will grab my hand 
And say your not alone 

Fear begins to set in 

Hurting so bad my heart is broken 

I awake with such an empty feeling 

A loneliness sets in 

I am hoping for someone to see 

What do I do allow the fear to take me away 

Or let the battle for life come upon my mind 

Never felt such a feeling of loneliness 

Yet would  notice 

As the unbearable loneliness sets in

We all feel loneliness, but every now and then--for whatever reason-- it gets the best of some of us.
Personally, I can relate, and the key for me was, How okay am I with me? / Can I be alone and comfortable in my own skin? Having that person come along to say, in one or several special ways, you're not alone anymore is so important, but these are moments in life, not life itself.
This piece captures the in betweens very, very well.
