The Christmas Banana

The Christmas Banana

A Story by Kelly Ann Griffin

It's Christmas Eve in New Zealand and my dad's sister  is putting her children to bed. My dad's sister is named Cynthia. The children's names are Jessica, MaKayla ,Nancy, and Erin. Every Christmas, they go caroling at their local Chruch. Then, they put out Santa's cookies and milk. Then the children head to bed so Santa would come. Suddenly everyone woke up. Cynthia realized the ground was shaking underneath her. She told her children to stay calm. Cynthia found out it was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake. Cynthia reminded her children that they have to fall asleep in order to have Santa come. Everyone was fast asleep. Santa came around midnight. No one was expecting something bad was going to happen that Christmas.  Everyone was eager to know what they got for Chirstmas. Jessica was the first one up on Christmas Day. Makayla was the last one up. Erin was the third one up. Nancy was the second one up. Jessica was excited to open her Christmas presents. It's Christmas Day.  Everyone is awake so Jessica can open her presents now. Everyone wanted to open their presents now but dad's sister didn't want them to open their presents yet. Cynthia told them if they opened their presents now the Christmas giant banana will come and eat them all. Makayla thought that she was lying. She was starting to open her presents when she was eaten by the giant banana. Jessica guessed she was right. She didn't dare to open her presents. Nancy was eaten by the giant banana. Cynthia allowed Jessica and Erin open their presents. Jessica was happy when she found out that she got a ipad. Erin got a DS and camera. Everyone was happy with what they got including the Giant Banana. Cynthia felt sad that Nancy and Makayla were eaten by the Christmas banana. Jessica and Erin are upset that Makayla and Nancy are gone forever since they got eaten by the Christmas Banana. The banana is sad for the mom who lost her daughters. Erin will never forget that Christmas. There was a lesson learned that Christmas. The lesson was that you should never open your Christmas presents before you are supposed to or you will be eaten by the giant banana.
