Saves

Saves

A Poem by Kelley Conto
"

I was on a Christian Retreat over the new years and the theme was Anchored. So over the week I was there I began to think and grow deeper in my faith. Then i began to write about it in this poem.

"
I feel like I am sinking on a boat.
and won't be able to float,
because of being filled with so much sin,
wishing I had a dolphin so I could hold on to the fin.
Feeling like I am not good enough to be saved,
because I am always living in a dark area caved.
Every time I get my head above the water,
I fall back under and then I begin to heat the thunder,
and start to wonder what is next,
I need to see some text.
So I kept trying to go against the ocean waves,
but the current was to strong and kept sweeping me into the dark caves.
I was doing this over and over, but kept failing
So I decided it was harder to go against the waves,
then to ride with them.
So I was tired of struggling and asked Jesus to help me out of the cave,
because I couldn't beat the wave.
I wanted to be saved.
So now I am saved and life is much better than before.
Jesus threw his anchor and it hooked me and it pulled me up from the darkness to the light.
So now I can shine bright.
I still fall at times but Jesus helps me and I get through it with him
because I realized with Him all things are possible.
I couldn't do it alone, so I surrendered and He came to rescue me and it has been great.
Jesus picks you up out of the waves and saves.
