Letter to Luna

This is a poem dedicated to my niece who was recently born.

In your slumber
Wishing you tread in luscious greens
The morning sun gleams upon you
The stars chorus in harmony
A lullaby, wishing you well
The humming breeze delicately caresses your being
In downpours they shed
Flowing, never touching
I hope you tread in luscious greens
Despite the torrid rains
Despite the arid land
In every path you walk
As time treads along with your footsteps
I hope you walk in luscious greens
And along with them you grow
