As Winter BloomsA Poem by CharaThis is for those whose homes aren’t warm enough for this season
As winter blooms i lie
Against the fabric whilst I cry Will I get to see the sun shine I wouldn’t know for there are no signs The comfort of the cold breeze Gives warmth to the dying trees Slowly it envelopes the surroundings As it engulfs the velvet draping I yearn for the warmth of the light To give me delight in spite In spectacles of dust In forgotten memories of the past I hope to feel the comfort For in loneliness I resort There is only I For as winter blooms I lie No longer there is warmth For I can never pay its worth I can only admire from afar The beauty of a falling star I am freezing No longer capable of moving I want to go I want to go © 2020 CharaAuthor's Note
