there’s something therapeutic about being up as early as 4am when if feels like the world is asleep

the whole world asleep
no noise can get to my ears
at peace with myself

Now this poem really speaks to me because I tend to get most of my writing done at 4 am. It's just so peaceful a time. The quiet brings inspiration and also a bird outside my window who tends to wake up about that time. Probably because he hears me typing and can't sleep otherwise because of me.
