The New You

The New You

A Poem by Queen of Hearts

Why do you always do this to me?
Just as he did to you.
You say it's your defense,
But I understand what you're trying to do.
He's became the new you.

Words are your weapon
You use them to torture me
Why do you do this to me?
How dare you say you love me?

It smacks the side of my face
Cheeks turning red
Oh have you hurt me
Oh I dread

Why must you break me into pieces
What are you earning from these broken shards?
Who do you think you are
Breaking my little heart

Never known love before, you've never let me know
I haven't seen the spark in your eyes that show me the way
So I'll just pretend and look for a way

I love to paint and write stories. Sometimes I just sit and write all day, trying to get out of this land and into another. I love the smell of the paper as I write, the soft etching sound of the penc.. more..
