Till The Cops Come

Till The Cops Come

A Poem by Queen of Hearts

I scream and cry,
And pound the floor,
You beat my face,
Make blood pour.

You grab my hair,
Take it out,
Make me scream and shout.

My Mommy's there,
Watching you,
Yelling you to stop.

Big mistake,
GO! she screams,
I stumble across the floor
To the door I go.

I take my brother,
Out of his seat,
And get out fast.
Waking him from his sleep.

It's much too late,
You run out of the house,
In a pitiful shout

Later that day,
You comes home,
Smelling of beer and drugs.

Get out!
Mommy screams,
Pushing You about.

You shout out loud
Your eyes glowing red,
And on the bed shes bound.
The police come quick,
A short little trip,
And you run away.

I love to paint and write stories. Sometimes I just sit and write all day, trying to get out of this land and into another. I love the smell of the paper as I write, the soft etching sound of the penc.. more..
